An earthquake hits the Iraqi border with Iran, measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale

ArabiaWeather.com - An earthquake hit the Iraqi-Iranian border today, Friday, without causing any human damage.

And the Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring Authority in the capital, Baghdad, revealed that its seismic observatories recorded an earthquake at 9:10 this morning, Friday, on the Iraqi-Iranian border, 44 km north of the western Ali region.

The authority said that the strength of the tremor was 4.9 on the Richter scale.
